Meet the hosts

Jim Salveson

Jim Salveson

Jim is a West Ham fan (you can tell from his tear-stained cheeks). Loves the game in all its forms and is a firm believer that the highlight of ANY match is a rouge dog on the pitch. He's also the Big Sam to the Football Social Daily team of relegation candidates.
Natalie Pike

Natalie Pike

Manchester City presenter Natalie Pike can mostly be heard on the show talking about Manchester City! Don’t try and slag them off in anyway as she will have you.
John-Paul Hughes aka JP

John-Paul Hughes aka JP

Celtic fan. Subbuteo lover. Guitarist in psych rock band Helicon. Ex-Dundee Utd player whom Clarence Seedorf often cites as the best player he ever played against. Writes his own bios.
Alex Boardman

Alex Boardman

Alex is a full-time stand up comedian and has been a football fan all his life. The best moment in his professional career was when he was asked to do the warm up for a week long run of live shows for his football hero Eric Cantona at theatres in the UK, including a sold out Friday night at the London Palladium.
Rob Blanchette

Rob Blanchette

Rob Blanchette is a journalist, broadcaster and Manchester United expert. Rob has worked in football for 12 years, and is the co-founder and presenter of The Masterclass tactical podcast (also on the Sport Social Podcast Network. His catchphrase is: "Don't get too high, don't get too low," and he's the voice of reason when it comes to football opinion.
Niall McCaughan

Niall McCaughan

Executive Producer of Football Social Daily. Duties include being grumpy, irrationally angry, and criticising Southampton on a regular basis. Commentator for Manchester United and long-suffering Pompey fan.
Ant McGinley

Ant McGinley

Man City supporter Ant once missed the opportunity to interview Raheem Sterling because he was having his photo taken with Moonchester. We're not sure whether he told us this because he was embarrassed or proud but we made him use that picture anyway.
Mark Critchley

Mark Critchley

Mark is The Independent's Northern Football Correspondent, covering Manchester United, Manchester City and basically everything football-related that side of Watford Gap services.
Marley Anderson

Marley Anderson

Usually found berating his beloved Newcastle United, Marley Anderson is our go-to social guy at Sport Social. The man behind the memes, Marley is a regular on Football Social Daily and loves chipping in on all things football related.
Steve McNorton

Steve McNorton

Born & raised in Liverpool. Seen both the glory days and bad days at the club since the mid 80’s. Loves attacking football and thinks Sam Allardyce is the worst thing to ever happen to the game after Man United, Man City & Everton. It’s fair to say, he’s not interested in your perspective when it comes to the best Goalkeeper in the world and don’t mention VAR to him.
Justin Mottershead

Justin Mottershead

Presenter and co-owner of United fan channel Stretford Paddock, Jay is a journalist who spent years covering news and sport in Manchester before selling his soul to the YouTube devil.
Tyrone Marshall

Tyrone Marshall

Ty's writes about Manchester United and Manchester City for a living as the senior football writer at the Manchester Evening News, a job that has taken him to some amazing games and incredible stories. While his job is watching two of the best teams in the country in one of the biggest cities in the country, he spends the cash he earns paying to watch average football in League One as a long-suffering Shrewsbury Town fan!
Pete Hall

Pete Hall

Pete is a Leeds-based football journalist for Sky Sports, Reuters, The i Paper and others, covering matches at Premier League clubs all over the north of England. He has also reported on four international tournaments out in the field.
Ian Brannan

Ian Brannan

Ian is a radio presenter and voiceover artist & Leeds fan and in the past has worked alongside some of the game's biggest names on football phone ins and commentaries. You can imagine his delight at being reassured by Leeds legend and Wembley FA Cup hero Allan Clarke that “it was ok because in his lifetime Leeds will never ever be relegated because they are the great Leeds United.” 2 relegations and 16 years later Leeds are back and Allan is alive and well, although Ian now lives in Sunderland, a city which is still celebrating an FA Cup win in 1973 against Allan’s "great side". On Football Social daily Ian is always ready with a stat, some of which are even accurate, but without doubt you will be surprised by!
