Michael ' The Silk' Olajide Jnr

Michael Olajide Jr was a former world rated professional boxer who fought from 1981-1991. Nicknamed “Silk” for his smooth style and easy disposition, Michael fought some of the world’s best in the golden age of the middleweight division. In 1986 an eye injury suffered in sparring would, at the least, alter his professional trajectory, but “contradictorily” it also opened many more doors to an exciting, creative future, as Michael would go on to become the “Godfather of boxing fitness”. A trend that has now officially gone “global”.
