Meet the hosts
John Cushing
John co-presents Anything but Footy - the Olympic and Paralympic sport podcast. It began in 2019 with the aim of putting a focus on sports and sportspeople who are underrepresented in the media. John spent more than two decades working in radio broadcasting and his experience includes General Elections, Royal Weddings, the London Riots and many major sporting events including the Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup, Wimbledon and the London Marathon.
Michael Weadock
Michael co-presents Anything but Footy. As the New York Times described it in 2021 “Anything but Footy offers an overview of just about every Olympic sport played (except, as the title suggests, football), and makes a point of including sports that don’t always get the spotlight." Michael is a vastly experienced broadcaster and is a regular reporter for talkSPORT where he has covered events including the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and World Championships in athletics, swimming, triathlon, and cycling.
