Bernie Friend

Bernie Friend is a sports journalist for the Daily Mirror and previously covered Southend United for the Echo, among other publications. He is also the author of Amazon No.1 bestselling book Red Card Roy, chronicling the life and times of Southend bad boy Roy McDonough.

Paul Hill

Paul works for Show Racism the Red Card as Education Coordinator for the South of England. A Blues supporter of 35 years, his favourite Shrimpers moment is the 2006 Carling Cup run that saw the blues beat Bournemouth, Brighton, Leeds and defending champions Manchester United en route to the quarter finals, eventually losing to an offside Defoe goal at Spurs.
