About Team Of Our Lives

Team of our lives is a football podcast dedicated to a specific period in time: the Noughties. Harry & Ollie conceived the idea to celebrate the decade by having a shared love of obscure football knowledge. We are both obsessed over shows such as ‘Premier League Years’ & ‘Season Review’ from the 2000’s & decided to create an audio version.

Each week we have a topic of discussion to kick off the show from weird transfers, horrific managers, world cup wonder goals & relegation battles from the era. We also have a number of regular features including the Robbie Savage Hall of Fame, in which we induct players that we deem were not good enough to play in the Premier League. As well as Deal or No Deal, where we quiz each other on transfers during the decade.

We always end the Podcast with a game of Starting XI, where we pick an infamous match from the noughties & attempt to remember the starting line-up in less than 3 minutes. We encourage our listeners to get involved & we have lined up some guests & Ex Players to give us their ultimate 1-11 from the 2000’s.

Meet the hosts

Ollie Jenks

Ollie Jenks

Ollie is a Manchester United fan who's heart still belongs in the year 2004. Fed up with the modern world of football he chooses to obsess over niche players & teams in the 2000's. His knowledge of the Premier League in the noughties is second to none & there's a good chance he could tell you the transfer history of any player in the premier league during the decade. A lover of language & obscure players, Ollie likes nothing more than seeking out ludicrous players with great names & became a cult hero.
Harry Hansford

Harry Hansford

Harry is a lifelong Portsmouth Fan & documentary film maker. Having followed his beloved Pompey for over 20 years he has seen first hand the highs & lows of English football. Unlike Ollie, he has a talented knowledge of the lower leagues in England & some of the smaller teams. Also a history buff, Harry knows a tremendous amount of stories about how clubs formed & footballers mishaps.
