About The Analyst Inside Cricket

Simon Hughes – aka the Analyst – and Simon Mann founded this podcast in 2017 with the aim of offering weekly insight into international and domestic cricket and interviewing prominent players. Both Simons have covered the game for 30 years on national TV and radio and the idea of the podcast is to analyse performance, give opinion, extract insights from the players themselves and forecast what might be going to happen over the coming days. Sometimes they also produce themed specials like an episode on mental health and another on innovation. They produce daily pods when England are playing Test matches. There have been over 300 episodes and the podcast is regularly top of the Apple cricket podcast charts.
