We will be joined by guests from a diverse sporting network who will share pivotal encounters that have shaped their career thus far. We aim to provide a light hearted insight into various sporting professions, in the hope of inspiring others to pursue their dreams.

About The Nashlete Podcast

From elite level coaches to professional athletes, from performance directors to Olympic psychologists; our podcast will aim to provide an audiological encyclopaedia of sporting professions.

Guests will enlighten listeners by sharing an honest account of experiences and challenges they have faced within their careers, in the light of promoting excellence within women’s sport.

Hosted by a Senior NHS Physiotherapist and a professional footballer, the podcast will be delivered with some light hearted entertainment and authentic northern tones.  

Meet the hosts

Ash Hargreaves

Ash Hargreaves

With over 5 years experience in both the NHS and elite sport, Ash has provided rehabilitation to a wide range of patients; from England youth internationals to critically ill patients on intensive care. At the age of 4 she started playing football for her local boys team. Following this, she made appearances for Wigan Athletic Ladies and Bolton Wanderers Ladies before moving to Birmingham to study Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham. Within this time, she helped lead the Women’s Football Team to their first BUCS final in the universities history. Since graduating, Ash has gained experience in the world of Physiotherapy including rotations in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Elderly Medicine, Critical Care and Specialist Surgery. Alongside this, she has worked for both Birmingham City FC Academy and Aston Villa Women FC Regional Talent Centre.
Nat Haigh

Nat Haigh

Nat began her footballing journey in her hometown of Leeds, breaking into the Leeds Utd Ladies first team at the age of 16. Her extensive career in football has seen her captain Yeovil in the WSL 2, secure a contract with top tier Danish side FC Nordsjælland and gain her first professional contract with Aston Villa Women. In addition to her illustrious playing career, Nat has also managed the Women’s Football and Futsal programme at Hartpury College and University between 2017 and 2020. Through hard work and dedication, she has progressed through the coaching ranks and is currently working towards her UEFA A Licence, along with delivering performance analysis across the Regional Talent Centre pathway at Aston Villa Women.
