About Viola Nation
This is the podcast from Viola Nation, the site for English-speaking fans of ACF Fiorentina since circa 2010. The editorial staff (Mike “McMike” McCormack, Tito Kohout, and Producer Mike Hines) are back in the podcasting saddle, bringing you different perspectives about all things Fiorentina. McMike brings a business background, an expertise in all things financial, and close contacts with journalists and fans in Florence and beyond. Tito offers tactical knowledge and inexplicable trivia. And Producer Mike pulls it all together with technical skill and a familiarity with soccer across Europe.
Every episode, we range across topics from the immediate (e.g. the team’s current performances, the transfer market, tactical trends) to the distant (management’s relationship with fans, long-term economic trends, a new stadium) to the whimsical (cult heroes, Tuscan travel recommendations, cocktail recipes). We also bring in guests, ranging from Florence-based professional journalists to supporters’ group presidents to Fiorentina-supporting artists.
