About Wisden Cricket Weekly

Former England batter Mark Butcher joins the Wisden.com and Wisden Cricket Monthly teams to put together the Wisden Cricket Weekly Podcast. The podcast hits your feed at least once a week and aims to cover all the major news from the international game, with a special focus on England.

Every now and then the regular panel are joined by special guest stars; previous guests include David Gower, Charlotte Edwards, Sam Billings, Matt Parkinson, Tammy Beaumont and Viv Richards.

Yas Rana

The host of the Wisden Cricket Weekly Podcast since late 2018. Yas is currently the head of content at Wisden.

Mark Butcher

Mark played 71 Tests for England in a career that saw him become an integral part of the England team that shot up the rankings under the leadership of Nasser Hussain at the start of the 21st century. Mark is responsible for the one of the all-time great Ashes performances, scoring a fourth innings 173* to help defeat Australia at Headingley in 2001. Since his retirement, Mark has become one of the most respected and admired pundits in the English game.

Jo Harman

The magazine editor of the Wisden Cricket Monthly magazine and long-time podcast regular, Jo also occasionally writes for The Blizzard, the well-known quarterly football magazine edited by Jonathan Wilson.

Phil Walker

The editor-in-chief of Wisden Cricket Monthly and an avid player of the game who still loves his club cricket.

Ben Gardner

The managing editor of Wisden.com. Ben discovered his love for cricket relatively late at 16 after watching Zaheer Khan and Praveen Kumar repeatedly hoop the ball past Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss' outside edges at Lord's back in 2011.

Taha Hashim

Features editor of Wisden.com. Taha is currently nominated for the Young Sports Journalist of the Year award at the 2021 SJA British Sports Journalism Awards.
