The Paddock and The Pavilion

I set up The Paddock and The Pavilion in July 2020. Sunday weekly I talk with the sports stars from Newmarket and around the World on my two biggest sporting loves Cricket and Horse Racing.
Guests to ‘The Pavilion’ have included former England cricketers Ebony Rainford-Brent and Roland Butcher,  who were the first Black players to play for the England women’s and men’s teams while former BBC horse racing presenter Richard Pitman and leading Irish trainer Joseph O’Brien have joined me in ‘The Paddock’.
I look to have a wide range of stories on the show which have ranged from what it is like to Ride for The Queen,  regular reviews of England’s Test cricket exploits both men and women, to supporting trainer Gay Kelleway’s campaigns to save horses in Ukraine.

The Shackles Are Off

There’s been one constant in English cricket since 1994. England fans travelling and unconditionally supporting the team.

From years of touring, the Barmy Army has had countless interactions with cricketers from across the world. Now it’s time to sit down and speak to them.

This is no ‘normal’ cricket podcast. We discuss the things that matter to fans – what did the England team do the night they won the T20 World Cup in 2010? Hint, it got pretty out of hand according to Tim Bresnan and Ryan Sidebottom! Or what was it like being on the receiving end of the Barmy Army during the Ashes? Hint, it was pretty relentless according to Ryan Sidebottom!

Strap yourselves in and listen to some of the biggest names in cricket talk about the careers as the shackles are well and truly off.
